A Glassy Celestial Body
The night came up, and the stillness spreaded,
In the stillness, I found solace
So I lost in my imagination,
looking at the vast glistening world,
Mirrored upon my transparent body.
I gazed at the reflection and tried to count the stars,
But they were dazzling; too many to tally
I couldn't touch them, for they swam
Within me.
I gave up counting them,
But I kept watching.
Then, I marveled at the wondrous sky,
My sense, it captivated.
I overlooked the stars within me.
They started to fall like shooting stars.
I began to touch my body, wanting to stop them
from descending.
But with each try to cease their fall,
a piece of me shattered.
My body a fading universe,
Slowly dimming and losing its luminous stars,
In this dark night, it's dying, and resting on a
bed of white lilies.
