O' Dear My Sun

A few minutes remain for heaven
to brighten and dispel the darkness
shrouding its crystalline dome.
I sauntered as I looked around
And beholded the beautiful colors
Mingling in the east, heralding the sun's
Awakening.
The stillness of the air
Was part of me until the sun shone,
Painting the sky with a solo color,
Caressing the ground with its shimmering rays,
Reviving the birds upon the branches,
And stirring humans from their slumber.
I wondered. What about my sun?
The sun within me, why won't it shine?
Months passed since I've seen its
Radiant beams.
Its radiant beams
That draw my smile, warm my soul,
Embrace my body, and ignite my enthusiasm.
Month after month,
I've tried to convince it to rise, and dispel
the darkness
enveloping my bosom, but I failed.
It stubbornly refuses to rise,
Yet lingers deep within my heart,
Kindling my desire to feel its love once more.
O dear, my Sun, don't you know
How much I love you, yet I'm helpless
To live without you?
O dear, don’t you see
How slowly I’m growing fond of darkness,
And the shadows within me?
And how I've tried to erase you,
but I couldn't.
Yet, when I forget you, I know you'll rise
When I lose my appetite for your
Love and light.
